Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage

The most common massage is the Swedish massage, which is a whole-body therapeutic massage designed to relax the muscles and joints. Swedish massage is a type of massage therapy that’s primarily known for its relaxation effects. With this technique, a massage therapist targets muscles with a combination of friction, gliding strokes, and kneading. The light-to-moderate pressure is good for relieving light muscle tension and stress. It can leave a person feeling rejuvenated.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymphatic drainage massage, also known as manual lymphatic drainage or lymphatic massage, relieves painful swelling, primarily in the arms and legs, which happens when medical treatment or illness blocks your lymphatic system.

Lymphedema happens when your tissues retain fluid left behind after your cardiovascular system sends blood to your tissues and organs. The remaining fluid is called lymph. Lymphedema often affects people recovering from breast cancer surgery. When something disrupts your lymphatic system's process and your fluid levels are unbalanced, it could lead to disease in the body causing swelling, fatigue, digestion issues, sleeplessness to name a few.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Our licensed Massage and certified lymphedema therapist uses lymphatic drainage massage techniques to move lymph from your tissues to your working lymph nodes, which ease the swelling in your tissues.
